The Epistle to the Church in Rome is the Epistle of St. Paul the Apostle par excellence; Doctrine of the Justice of God in Christ; the practical way of living in the freedom of the Spirit, and the life of the Body that brings light, healing and meaning to life.
The surrender of the Son, the Lamb of God, was total and complete. The sin of all men from the first, Adam, to the last in the history of the world, was upon Jesus.
The death of Jesus was the act of Justice, and the full weight of divine Justice fell upon Him. Nothing was left unfinished, and the gravity of sin affected His body, even His face was disfigured by suffering because of the wrath of God; in this way, the Father proved to be just.
